One of the most edge-of-the-seat waits is over, with the announcement that this year’s Noosa Eat & Drink Festival, formerly Noosa Food & Wine, has officially been cancelled.
With the annual festival set to happen on the Sunshine Coast in May, the decision was made last night following the Federal Government’s Australia-wide ban of non-essential mass gatherings.
Featuring a line-up of hospitality greats and a program that promised to be a true celebration of Australia’s best, there will no doubt be a lot of sad but understanding foodies across the nation.
For ticket holders, details on full refunds will be available shortly on the Noosa Eat & Drink Festival website.
And because 2021 is such a long time to wait to treat your senses with impeccable food and lip-smacking drinks, now is the time to get behind and show your support for businesses across the Sunshine Coast.
You can do this by calling up your favourites and buying a gift certificate to use once the coronavirus pandemic has ceased or grabbing takeaway to enjoy at home while social distancing. Trust us, your tasebuds and your local restaurants will thank you.
