We’re in the thick of spring (although it totes feels like 40-degrees already) which means we’ve got a little over a month to get those summer bods ready for, well…summer. *screams internally*
If you live on the Sunny Coast, you’ve got exercise options coming out of your ears, with more gyms, trainers and classes than you can shake a stick at!
This time round, we’re here to root for the outdoor fitness classes happening around the place. From high-intensity workouts to those with a gentle mind and body focus, and everything in between, we’re pretty confident there’s something out there to suit you.
Here are the best outdoor fitness classes on the Sunshine Coast that’ll get you toned, sweaty and maxed out on endorphins.
Elliott’s Personal Training
If you wanna get fit but have zero time and pretty much zero dollars, a Metafit class with Elliott’s Personal Training is exactly what you need in your life! For those who aren’t in-the-know, Metafit is 30 minutes of high intensity interval training that works every muscle of your body. And we mean, every single one. With an incredibly loyal team rocking up to her sessions on the daily, there’s no surprise that founder Renae is an excellent trainer, and at just $25 a week for two sessions, you won’t need to beg, borrow OR steal to get that beach bod.
Full Body Fitness
Mountain Creek (Brightwater)
Full Body Fitness does morning and evening group fitness sessions in Brightwater that will have you shredded for summer in no time! Owner Michelle also shares great recipes on her Facebook page, which are not only delish but will ensure you stay on the healthy eating train as long as possible! Try a class for free this spring and we think you’ll be hooked—and at just $140 for a 10 class pack, making it a regular thing won’t break the bank either!
When it comes to group workouts, Bootcamp Noosa offer the whole shebang, but they’re particularly renowned for—yep, you guessed it—bootcamp! Not just a program, Bootcamp Noosa has been coined by team members as a ‘way of life’. The team are welcoming, motivating and committed to getting you the results you want. With a free trial class and a range of membership options to suit your lifestyle, if that’s not enough to convince you to give it a whirl, we don’t know what will.
Michelle at EmbraceFit hosts a range of classes that embrace some of the Sunshine Coast’s most beautiful surroundings—who doesn’t love Peregian Beach? Switching sessions up between the beach and the park, a 10-class pass will only set you back $120, or you can pop on in casually for $15. As an added bonus, if you call Peregian home, you can try a whole week of outdoor group fitness classes completely on the house! Hot tip: Head to Tuesday morning boxing for incredible sunrise views!
Kat Harding Yoga
The lovely Kat Harding is well-known across our site and Coast-wide, because her yoga classes are the bomb.com! If there’s one class to try as the weather heats up, it would have to be SUP Yoga, hands down. Imagine starting a gorgeous Saturday or Sunday with a float down the pristine Noosa River, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds, all while getting a workout? It’s almost too good to be true! What’s more is a SUP Yoga class will only set you back $35 ($20 if you BYO board) And trust us, the experience is priceless.
Live Life Get Active
Live Life Get Active’s mission is simple: to build a fitter, healthier and happier Australia, and to have fun doing it! Offering yoga, cross-training and boxing, these classes are run by qualified pros and are completely free. That’s right, you heard us…FREE, people! So, there’s literally no excuse not to try one of these classes.
Healthy Sunshine Coast
Caloundra locals are in luck—the Sunshine Coast Council’s Healthy Sunshine Coast program offers outdoor yogalates (that’s a combo of yoga and pilates, FYI) at Shelly Beach on Saturday mornings! An absolute steal at just $5 per class, you don’t even have to book—just BYO mat and water bottle, and rock up 10 mins prior to settle in and get a good possie. Easy as bro!
