Game On, An Internationally-Recognised Pinball Festival Is Hitting The Coast

Gamers unite! For three epic days, the second annual AMD 2019 Noosa Festival Of Pinball will take over Land & Sea Brewery, transforming it into a retro gaming paradise.

Held from Friday 18 October to Sunday 20 October, there will be internationally-recognised competitions popping up all weekend, so you can expect pros from across the country, as well as local rookies (entry tickets have nearly sold out, so nab your spot here fast), to be taking over 15 machines and proving their skills to a beer-guzzling crowd.

The fun kicks off on Friday night with a three strikes competition for 60 players, which acts as a warm up for the major event—the AMD Jurassic Matchplay on Saturday, showcasing a brand new Stern “Jurassic Park” pinball game that has been flown out specially from the USA. This isn’t some small time comp either—there’s trophies, prize money and world championship points up for grabs. So it’s going to get tense.

On Sunday, the rivalry is toned down a notch for a casual arcade day, where people of all ages and skill levels can take part in casual informal mini comps, games and novelty challenges.

For those who aren’t gamers but are drinkers, Land & Sea will be pouring a limited edition Pinball Wizard beer and dishing up a whole bunch of tasty nosh—so you’ll enjoy this cracker of a weekend as much as all the gamers.
