Mooloolaba’s Gelatissimo have embarked on a crazy food experiment, to see if hot cross buns and gelato could live together in perfect harmony. Turns out, they’re bloody best friends.
Do yourself a favour this long weekend and get to the esplanade stat to feast on your fave scoop of gelato, balancing between a deliciously warm hot cross bun. Oh baby! Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.
As for the flavour sitch, we’d suggest keeping it simple with an old-time classic like Belgian Chocolate or Vanilla. Not interested? Mix your dessert with an Italian nightcap and go straight for the espresso gelato for a the ultimate bitter but sweet combination.
