COVID-19 is not stopping Aussie World from doling out the barbecued goods; next month’s BBQ Festival is still on, so bring on the meat sweats.
Learn the latest cooking techniques from some of Queensland’s leading BBQ teams as they compete for the Sunshine Coast BBQ Championship title. Using a wood-fired pit, teams work over 12 hours to prepare and serve slow cooked, expertly seasoned ribs, brisket, pork and poultry to the judging panel to win all sorts of prizes and trophies.
Tickets will allow you to indulge in a range of authentic and delicious BBQ dishes, from all over, including baby-back ribs,12-hour wood-smoked pulled pork, Texas style brisket, burgers, flamed-grilled pork belly and loads more.
And if that’s not enough for you meat lovers out there, you get to pair all this deliciousness with local craft beers.
Aussie World spokesperson Tom Turner says Aussie World has an approved COVID Safe Plan for the park and encourages guests to check out what to expect online.
“Our team has worked hard over the past few months to introduce some new measures and processes to keep us all safe so that guests can still enjoy a day out within the park with family and friends,” Mr Turner says.
Aussie World staff will be on hand to provide extra cleaning and sanitisation of rides and high traffic touch points around the park during the day, but if you can, you should take extra precautions and wear a mask just in case.
Tix to the BBQ Festival will set you back $20 at the gate, but you can save $10 by booking online.
