Architecture geeks, get excited. Sunshine Coast Open House weekend is coming back to our shores for its third year of society-endorsed sticky-beaking.
If you’re new to the Open House phenomenon, this weekend is a celebration of the unique architectural heritage of the Sunshine Coast, where some of the Sunshine Coast’s coolest old and new real estate will be throwing open their doors for one glorious weekend of snooping.
This year, architecture fans and general busy bodies alike have the rare chance to tour 30 historic, contemporary and sustainable buildings from Caloundra to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and Pomona.
Punters can go behind the scenes at some of the Coast’s most intriguing addresses, including the Caloundra Lighthouses and Bankfoot House. But we’re most excited about the private residences scattered across the region, including Wilson Beach House, Lake Weyba House and Little Cove House.
You can round out your Sunshine Coast Open House experience with guided and self-guided tours.
When: Saturday 19 October and Sunday 20 October
