Well, aren’t we just flying through January?! If this month were a car, we’d be slamming our foot down trying to slow this shiz down.
But, then again, we’d be missing out on these awesome events happening this week on the Sunshine Coast. And we wouldn’t want to do that now, would we?

MooloolaBaBQ Festival | Saturday, January 28
To celebrate our Aussie love of the good ‘ol BBQ, Mooloolaba Wharf is turning into an epic barbecue fiesta this Saturday from 10am to 8pm. There’ll be all kinds of barbecue shenanigans with a mix of food from different cultures being cooked in all kinda ways—grilled, smoked, on a spit, and more—food trucks, craft beers, live entertainment, chef demos, fireworks, and the National Championship Series Barbecue Competition. And even though scoffing your face with barbecued seafood, pork, and lamb is probs going to be the highlight of your day, you can also feel good knowing you’re helping to raise funds for Cancer Council with entry to this family-friendly festival a small $15 (kids under five are free).
Live Music At Villain Espresso | Saturday, January 28
Nambour’s Villain Espresso and Time Machine, have joined forces to host their first gig of 2017 and we’ve no doubt it’s going to be epic. Hosting five Brisbane bands—The Goon Sax, BENT, Kitchen’s Floor, Sydney2000, Pious Faults—if you’re looking for more of an underground live music event on the Coast, this might be right up your alley. Entry will set you back 10 bucks, and it’s BYO which makes us love it even more.
