Summer may be well and over but the block party lives on. After spending the past few years hosting major events in carparks, courtyards and shorelines across Australia, One Day (juggernauts of the party world) is bringing the party antics back to where it all began — Sydney’s Inner West.

Known as Better Daze, the block party is set to kick off at Marrickville’s tree-lined Portugal Community Club and will celebrate all things live music, food and drink.

On the music front, you can expect 20-year-old soul singer Kaiit, Sydney-based artist Kobie Dee and the genre-bending Francoistunes. As for the DJ line-up, stay tuned for a sling of OGs and new talent including Klasik, Ziggy, Nes and Sydney hip hop DJ Carolina Gasolina.

And once you’ve worked up an appetite on the dancefloor, load up on a Portuguese BBQ, woodfired pizzas, $10 cocktails and mammoth sangria jugs.
