When we said 2019’s truffle menus were indulgent, creative and occasionally downright outrageous—we really weren’t joking.
If you’re making a list of truffle treats to check out, we’ve just caught wind of another truffle sensation you’ll want to revel in this season.
The heroes of fried chicken and sick kicks at Butter are known for upping the ante (that fried chicken doughnut, for example). This winter, they’ve got a trio of very tasty truffle items and upgrades on a limited edition menu that has us wondering if this might be Sydney’s most extra truffle menu. Behold.
Kick off with a truffle chicken sandwich—an upgrade on their regular chicken sandwich that’s been laced with fresh truffle and incredible Manjimup Truffle Honey Butter, which is made with cultured butter from none other than Pepe Saya.
If you’re a fan of Butter’s fried chicken ramen (you should be), now you can get a little enhancement in the form of 8 grams of freshly shaved truffle, for $20. Trust us, it’s worth it.
Last but definitely not least, there’s the hot truffle doughnut, topped with fresh Manjimup truffles from Western Australia and aforementioned truffle honey butter. Let’s be honest, it’d be a shame to end off the season without a hot truffle doughnut.
