Sydney’s mammoth Italian Street Festival is back for its 22nd year and let’s just say, if you’ve never been and you love Italian delicacies like cannoli, chianti and cacio e pepe—you’ll want to clear your schedule.
Called Ferragosto and raking in around 110,000 people every year, you can expect a whole lot of Italian feasting on the horizon with more than 300 Italian retailers and food stalls lining the roads.
This weekend, Ferragosto will be packed with dance performances, rides and a whole lot of Italian automotive beauties like Mini Fiats, Ducatis and Alfa Romeos. Because, when in Rome?
On the food side of things, Ferragosto vendors have reached new heights this year with wine tasting stalls, giant cannoli (if you’re the lucky one chosen to compete in Pasticceria Papa’s eating comp), mountains of pasta, gelato and gnocchi demos by the likes of Cremeria De Luca and Duccio.
