Having already kicked off its infamous swap-and-go coffee cup scheme, Green Caffeen, in a number of cafes in the area, it’ll come as no shock that the latest environmental initiative aimed at helping people like yourself divert your waste from landfill, comes from the heart of the Inner West.

Hailing in hard from Marrickville Metro is an epic new concept wall set to be your one-stop-shop for all your recycling needs. Expanding on its existing reusable bag wall, the Metro’s new recycle wall is a designated drop-off point with a Red Cycle collection area for soft plastics, a collection point for coffee and tea capsules (including tea discs), an area for beauty and health products, a battery recycling point and a spot to ditch your old mobile phones and accessories.

There’ll also be a dedicated section where you can borrow a reusable bag to do your shopping and return it to the wall for others to use.

Head here for more details.

And check out this new Enmore social enterprise restaurant that gives back to asylum seekers.
