Sydney’s resident Southern Cali-inspired restaurant, SoCal, is throwing a Mexican blowout of epic proportions, so clear your schedule.
For Mexican Independence Day (that’s this coming Monday 16 September), head to this Neutral Bay institution for a hefty line-up of food and drinks worthy of the finest food coma. To mark the occasion, SoCal is serving Chiles en Nogada, a Poblano chilli stuffed with shredded beef and spices, smothered in a walnut cream sauce and garnished with pomegranates.
And to knock your feed back, SoCal is slinging its bestselling margaritas for an easy $10. If you’re a fan of a solid classic, we suggest hitting the Tommy Margarita, made with Olmeca Altos Plata Tequila, lime and agave.
But, If you’d rather put your senses to the test, then you’re going to have to get your mitts on the Spicy Margarita. This fiery concoction lives up to its name, made with searing hot jalapeno-infused Olmeca Altos Plata Tequila, lime and agave.
