The Dandylion Opens In Bondi

Vegetarians and vegans sometimes get a raw deal, with the Sydney restaurant scene mostly offering a few lacklustre options at the bottom of the menu, almost as an afterthought. Well, never fear, Sydney restaurant, The Dandylion, Bondi Road’s newest kid on the block, is on a mission to change that. Vegetarian and vegan food deserves to be delicious and just a wee bit adventurous too, so Dandylion’s Mediterranean twist on the cuisine means it’s healthy and very easy on the taste buds.

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the menu at this new Sydney restaurant covers all bases—the superfood smoothies and the Acai granola bowls are always popular but if you’re there for dinner there’s all sorts of options: caramelised tempeh, shiitake mushroom and kale dumplings, and a vegie burger that is not to be missed. The share plate is also a great option if you have a case of the nibbles. There’s an excellent kids menu, too, which is sure to keep the little ones occupied.

The Dandylion interior is just as friendly to Mother Earth, with custom-made furniture built from recycled oregon and railway sleepers creating a space that effortlessly moves from the perfect casual breakfast to dinner. Currently only BYO, the wine, cocktail, and craft beer list is on the way, so we are definitely looking forward to trying something from the drinks department.
