We never discriminate at The Urban List, especially when it comes to chicken wings. Hot, sticky barbeque, teriyaki, peri peri – we’ll take one of each leaving no wing behind! Here’s a list of Sydney’s best, so you can go forth and eat all the wings!
Bat & Ball Hotel
The folks at Bat & Ball know good wings and they stick to the classics. Your wings WILL be delicious. They WILL be served with Ranch sauce. The only choice you need to make is whether you want hot wings or mild wings, but we can make the decision for you and tell you to just get both! And with all you can eat hot wings on Monday nights for less than a tenner, you’ll be in wing heaven in no time.
Sticky BBQ or spicy buffalo? The choice at The Hayberry can be a tough one. The spicy buffalo comes with ranch or blue cheese sauce, which is always delicious and we love a choice of sauces. But sticky BBQ is sweet, savory, sticky and delicious, how could we resist?!
The Boomtown Rats famously sang “I don’t like Mondays” but they obviously never heard about 50c chicken wings at Black Penny every Monday. With three flavours to choose from and the best way to get rid of loose change we’ve come across, it’s calling out for a wing eating contest with your friends.
The Wanderer is the perfect place to head for a post-work wing session. Hot and spicy chicken wings come with sour cream and lime and are all kind of delicious. Stopping at one plate is almost impossible, trust us.
The Norfolk is known for having some of the most deliciously, calorie-packed bar snacks in Sydney, but next time you are ordering your mac ‘n’ cheeseballs, we suggest saving some stomach real estate for the mole fried chicken wings as well. Coated in punchy mole spices and served with crema and chilli vinegar, it’s the perfect thing to hold in one hand with an icy cold beer in the other.
The Stuffed Beaver in Bondi is the holy grail of all delicious Canadian delicacies in Sydney, especially wings. There are three different types to choose from, or, if you’re like us, get them all and have a full on wing feast! Tom’s hot wings are infamous with The Beaver and served with ranch dressing, Beaver BBQ Wings are smothered in house Beaver BBQ sauce and the Teriyaki Hawaiian are deliciously tropical morsels.
This fun African shebeen and bar is a great place to take some friends to just chill out, catch up and have a great time. And that great time can become even greater if you order their Inkoosi chicken wings, liberally marinated in Peri Peri sauce for ultimate wing tastiness.
