From acclaimed chef Sean Connolly, of Astral and Sean's Kitchen fame, comes The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room. Located in the heart of the city, right between the CBD and The Rocks, this New York-style brasserie is the perfect place for an after work drink with a bite to eat, a plate of fresh oysters or a sit-down menu to enjoy with friends.
Sean prides himself on using only the freshest produce, much of which is free-range, in all of the dishes that go over the pass at The Morrison. With Mediterranean-inspired flavour combinations that’ll keep your tastebuds humming, his chicken lollipops are a signature, with southern fried chicken served bite-sized with chilli and molasses dip. Favourites include mushroom gnocchi—ricotta gnocchi served with all of the mushrooms we know you’ll love.
Sean is known for plating up some of the best seafood in Sydney with notable mentions going to the crispy skinned ocean trout with cucumber, watercress, sea vegetables and Japanese dressing and the duck fat fish and chips.
The Morrison also throws a mean dinner party and if you don’t know already, it has a seriously huge space that you can book out for your next event, or stake your claim on the long tables that fill the space. There are three banquet menus to choose from—two course, three course and feast—so your guests won’t go hungry, and you won’t have to do any of the hard work.
