A HUGE Yayoi Kusama Exhibition Has Arrived In Australia!

You don’t have to be an art buff to recognise the fantastical and incredibly colourful works of artist Yayoi Kusama. From her infamous pumpkins (swoon!), instantly recognisable polka dot motifs, to her latest immersive pieces involving mirrors and light, Kusama’s creations are adored on a global scale.

Acknowledged as one of the most influential artists of our generation, Kusama’s work has enjoyed immense success over the past 60+ years, and her recent immersive pieces are as bold and challenging as you’d expect from the woman who is no stranger to bold colour and reality-challenging formats (not to mention it’s ‘grammable AF).

In fantastic news, Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition ‘Life is the heart of a Rainbow’ has (finally) arrived in Australia at QAGOMA, Brisbane! Showcasing everything from early works from the 50s and 60s, critically acclaimed ‘net’ paintings, soft-sculptures plus large-scale installations of Kusama’s most recent paintings from ‘My Eternal Soul’, we have to admit we’re most excited to be able to experience a handful of Kusama’s fully immersive ‘Infinity rooms’.

If you missed the opening weekend don’t stress, the exhibition will be hanging around until February 2018—because clearly, you’ll need to check this out more than once. Because bulk ‘grams…
