And down the charmingly squalid laneway there was…another Brisbane market.
Launching this Saturday May 2 (and reappearing on the first Saturday of every month) the Bakery Lane Providore Markets are everything lovely and wonderful about the Brisbane Market scene tucked neatly into one convenient space.
You can purchase from Crust & Co.’s delectable range of bread and pastries, chat with the guys from Bee One Third Honey, order a Reverends coffee from their pop-up shop or source some fresh produce from the Falls Farm. Brisbane Market regulars I Heart Brownies and their loveable treats will be there, as well as Raw Health Probiotics and Skull It juice bar, just to keep you feeling pious.
Bakery Lane will be thumping from 9am–1pm, but if you fancy a bit more of a sleep in, you can always play laneway market tag team with Winn Lane’s sister market just around the corner. All of Winn’s usual suspects will be daytime raging until 3pm, plus some market newbies Trophy Wife Nail Art and Nico Underwear.
For the bright-eyed and eager, this opening weekend the first 50 market goers will received a free loaf of bread from Crust & Co. and a Bakery Lane x Winn Lane tote bag for all your market spoils.
Kicking on from 3pm is the Bakery Lane Launch Party: a Laruche-esque laneway party celebrating the opening of The Kiosk, and the whole precinct. Open to the public till midnight and free for all to enter, The Kiosk will be supplying the grub, Olympic Ayres and Mitzi the beats. Find the deets here.
Damn, Brisbane. You are getting cuter by the minute.
