Current COVID guidelines do mean that it's sit down service only for now (so no heading to the bar or hitting a dance floor), and there are limits of 20 people to a bar or designated are, but for the chance to head back to our favourite local, we'll take it. Word on the street is Bloodhound Bar is open for lunch and dinner bookings, but if you’re keen to knock back a bevvy (or three), you’ll have to call ahead.
They might be capped with a 20 person capacity, but that doesn’t mean Blutes Bar has lost their approach to a good night. With eats and drinks to keep you going through the evening, be sure you book a table so you don’t miss out.
The Boundary Hotel

The Charming Squire
Been missing your James Squire fix? The Charming Squire is now open for dine-in and takeaway, but you’ll have to book ahead if you want to secure a seat. Check out their Insta page for details on how to get yourself a table.
With over 400 whiskeys behind the bar to keep your eyes feasting all night, Cobbler is back up and running in their West End sanctuary. Message their socials to secure a table, or send through an email to email@example.com.
Death & Taxes
For some super spooky, but perfectly decorated and whisky-focused cocktails, make sure you put Death & Taxes at the top of your ‘bars to visit post-iso’ list. To secure a spot at Brisbane’s best whisky bar, make sure you book ahead by giving them a call.
Emporium Piano Bar
Live the luxe life by sipping on martinis at the Emporium Piano Bar, now back in action and ready to serve up spirits—shaken, not stirred. They’re limited to 20 at a time, so call ahead for a taste of the VIP experience.
Fat Angel Sports Bar and Grill
Brisbane’s favourite sports and party bar has thrown open its doors for you and your crew. Lock yourself in for a 2 hour party package at just $79 per head with unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks—plus a Fat Angel American-style feast top it all off.
Fitz & Potts
If a homely environment is what you’re after, praise the homebodies at Fitz & Potts because they’re reopening for service. Enjoy craft beer and good eats, but be warned, they book out fast, so get to reserving here.
As of this weekend, Grape Therapy is back and open for business. As much as we loved their charcuterie platters and virtual wine tastings, we’re more than eager to get back to the bar. Head to the booking page and make a reservation to drink all your worries away.
Come out of iso in style with a private party hosted at Greaser. From Wednesday through Saturday, 4pm until late, you can book a celebration for you and your mates, along with a food and bev package that will keep you going all night long.
Dressed in late Victorian sandstone, and equipped with all the decor, lighting and drinks to fulfil your vintage, 1920s daydreams, The Gresham is open on a first come, first served basis, or you can make large group bookings in advance.

They’re promising the VIP treatment at Mrs Brown’s Bar & Kitchen, with sittings offered in 1.5 hour slots for up to 20 guests at a time. If you’d still prefer to eat on the couch, swing by for takeaway lunch and dinner.
If you’re eager to get back to Oche’s heritage digs, we’ve got good news: the bar and darts lanes are open for up to 20 patrons at a time as of last week. Score yourself a private booth by booking on their site.
Riverbar And Kitchen
Prepare for an afterwork kick-back along the river with a stunning Story Bridge view and some cocktails, wines or beers with Riverbar and Kitchen, who are re-opening Monday 15 June. Just remember to book if you’re in a group of more than four.
For after work drinks that have an element of surprise, why not try hunting for your next bar? Even though Savile Row might be hidden from the street, it’s worth the effort to find—think whisky, gin and cocktails all served under a decadent chandelier.
Street Corner Jimmy's
Street Corner Jimmy's is opening their doors to their beloved locals, and you can book seats at 1.5 hour intervals via their website.
The first rooftop bar to announce their reopening is Everton Park's Tetto, and we're not mad about it. Taking bookings from 11am on Saturday 16 May for 20 people at a time, and you better be quick about it if you want a spritz this weekend.
Zero Fox is serving up your favourite Asian cuisine in 1.5 hour sittings for up to 20 at a time. Their online booking system is accessible via their Instagram, so jump online now to save yourself a seat.
Brewhouse turned into an impromptu bottle shop during lockdown, but now they've re-opened as a proper pub, complete with parmies and pints back on the menu.
Catchment Brewing Co.
East-siders, rejoice! Dogtap is open for lunch and dinner as of this weekend. If you’re bristling to knock back some bevvies, head to their site to book ahead. Otherwise, grab your food to-go with takeaway available from 11am until 8pm.
Milton Common is taking reservations for patrons to enjoy a two-hour sitting. Bookings are essential, so call ahead to save your seat.

Stone & Wood
How does a private beer tasting and tour of Stone & Wood's newest brewery and bar sound, complete with a meal? At $40pp, it's a bargain too—so you'll need to book into their available sessions pretty quick.
Valley goers rejoice, The Wickham has re-opened their garden bar for outdoor pints. If you're not ready to drink in, you can also stop by their pop-up bottle shop, where every Friday night you'll be served by The Wickham’s fabulous resident Queen, Miss IKEA Karr.
