The Tex-Mex that blew Sydneysiders into oblivion is making its way to Brisbane’s own King Street dining precinct in Bowen Hills. The brand new space boasts a 300-seat capacity for dining in, as well as a bar wholly dedicated to the provision of margaritas in every form and flavour. Never ones to for a slow fade-in, El Camino are launching their Brisbane branch with a fiesta of music, margaritas, and Mexican food. Starting on Friday 30 November with a two-hour party package, guests can get around a sampling of El Camino’s best bites, as well as a selection of Mexican beers and their famous margaritas.
Over the rest of the weekend patrons can come check out the wonders of El Camino Cantina with $2 tacos representing the Mex, 10c buffalo wings for the Tex, $7.50 margaritas (frozen or on the rocks), and a bottomless supply of tortilla chips. They’ve even booked DJs from 5pm every day to pump up the jam.
Once the initial excitement of the opening subsides, this new venture will see generous, shareable plates of tasty Tex-Mex available every day, as well as some pretty spicy deals like 10c wing Tuesdays, $2 taco Wednesdays, half-price fajitas on Thursdays and a pretty enticing burrito and beer lunch special for just $15 on weekdays. And if you’ve been looking for a new happy hour for knock-offs, El Camino Cantina is all over it from 4pm-6pm during the week.
