Maleficient Runway Show

Unless you have been living under a rock (or in a dark attic with a spinning wheel), then Disney’s release of their latest sequel, Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, won’t come as a surprise to you.

That’s right, everyone’s favourite horned fairy is making a comeback, but not just to the big screen—it’s also coming to a Brisbane runway this month.

In its first ever film studio collaboration, Brisbane Fashion Month is partnering with the Walt Disney Company to create a stunning showcase event in Queen Street Mall, completely inspired by the epic new sequel. Experience an electrifying world where fashion and fantasy collide, with featured designers including George Wu, When Freddie Met Lilly, Toscano, Rachel Burke and many more.

If you’re wondering if this event could get any more magical, it just did. In addition to the runway show, the Wintergarden will also house a 2.4m installation of wings, inspired by the wickedly devious sorceress herself. So hold onto your spindles and get ready to witness some of the most stunning designs and craftsmanship in Brisbane. You’ll be transported right into the enchanted world of Maleficent and her creepy couture.

Runway seats are already full, but there's nothing stopping you from watching from the sidelines—get all the details here. While you’re at it, check out the whole host of events happening for Brisbane Fashion Month here.

When: Friday 25 October, 8pm—8.30pm
Where: Queen Street Mall, Brisbane City
