Phnom-Nom-Nom: Brisbane’s Night Noodle Markets Are Back!

By Catherine Blake
22nd Jul 2015

Thanks to Good Food Month and all the excitement that it brings, the incredible Night Noodle Markets are back! I know, I know, it’s all fairly exciting.

Running for 12 nights from Wednesday 22 July until Sunday 2 August (as well as lunch on the weekends), the Cultural Centre forecourt will once again be overrun with stalls, lanterns and a swarm of punters emulating the aromatic mayhem of downtown Hanoi.

With 30 different food stalls and a constant stream of live music acts to thump the airwaves, the Night Noodle Markets will keep you sated and happy for the entire 12 nights running. Take a wander past the gates and just try to resist the sights, smells and sounds resonating from what promises to be the most exciting and rollicking outdoor party of 2015.

Following the success of last year’s Night Noodle Markets, Brisbane’s best Asian kitchens have stepped it up a notch with all of our favourites from last year as well as a couple of newcomers including the crew from Longtime, the Valley’s favourite Thai. Punters can choose to gorge on pho from the Fat Noodle, Saké’s Udon curry, or New Shanghai’s illustrious Xiao Long Bao dumplings.

Parched throats get their chillax on amongst the lush greenery of the Coopers Beer Garden with live DJ sets and refreshing brews. Proper winos cannot afford to miss the Yalumba shipping container bar’s Brisbane debut to wash down the Asian feast - guaranteed best seats in the house.

Entry is free so feel free to gather the rat pack for a romp through the forecourt. Check out the Good Food Month website for more details and we’ll see you there!
