Listen up, porkstars! Are you ready to get porked?
Well we are, because Danielle Dixon, chef of Secret Laneway Business, is opening possibly the most #porktastic pop-ups of all time.
We give you: PigOut PopUp. And, yes, it’s going to be bloody #porkalicious.
For two weeks only, from Monday 18 May, PigOut PopUp will take over the kitchen of Hive Café, James Street to celebrate the sweet, salty, crispy, crunching, melt-in-your-mouth meat that is Australian pork. The #crackling menu will kick off with the infamous Fat Elvis Donut (think peanut butter, pork belly, topped off with caramelised banana), pulled pork croquettes and jalapeno cornbread with Byron Bay bacon, poached eggs and chipotle hollandaise. The menu will change daily through to 29 May.
For the real die-hard pork fans, don’t miss the Brunch Special Event on Saturday 23 May and the Closing Party Extravaganza on Friday 29 May.
If pork isn’t your thing, there is still plenty on offer, including guest chef dishes by celebrated Aussie chefs, cook-offs and masterclasses.
On a scale of 1 to #porkfest, this Brisbane event is off the charts.
PigOut PopUp opens for breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday. Get in early, because food this good isn’t bound to hang around for long.
