We say, never ever trust a person that doesn’t appreciate a good view. There’s just something about a beautiful city-scape that switches the brain into ‘chill-mode’ and makes everything sweeter. Hell, we’d go as far to say a good view makes everyone around you look more attractive! That’s a fact (it’s really not.).
A recent surge in rooftop bars in Brisbane means that us locals are now privy to the dizzying heights and prime vertical real estate that only a rooftop bar can provide. What can we say, we’ve been given a taste of the, er, high life… And we love it!
The latest addition to this niche Brisbane bar scene is UP on Constance. Sitting atop the achingly hip Tryp Hotel in Fortitude Valley, UP on Constance is a pretty classy establishment: a welcome change of pace for the traditionally grungy-cool Valley scene.
A bit Ibiza-beach-bar, a bit cool-downtown-cocktail-lounge, the CBD views alone are a huge draw card for UP (and don’t forget all those pretty people taking in that view). But, throw in a dangerously good cocktail list, some super-pretty twinkly lights (come on, who doesn’t love them?), killer tunes, and live DJ sets, plus said views of the CBD, and Up on Constance is basically the Beyoncé of the Brisbane bar world!
There aren’t many places in Brissy you can throw on your dancing shoes, love the music, aaand party in front of a view that won’t quit!
Up on Constance also do some cracking share-style dishes for you and your crew to devour while sipping on draanks and taking in all that skyline. Light dishes like steak tartare with crusty sourdough bread, smoked ocean trout with tomato jelly, lemon chive labne and watercress puree, and grilled lamb cutlets with mint chimichurri, are just a little bit fancy but totally satisfying!
Clearly Up on Constance is not just a Brisbane rooftop bar with a pretty face. If you’re looking for your new fave hang out that’s just that little bit more spesh than your average bar, this is the place.
