Virtual classes are fun and all, but if there’s anything we’ve learned from being in iso, it’s that sometimes you need to be at the gym to really kick your butt into gear. There’s nothing quite like being a room full of people suffering through the same workout you are, knowing that you’re all in this together. The good news is, as of Monday 1 June, the Queensland Government has given gyms the all-clear to open their doors, turn on their treadmills, and get their classes back in action—for up to 20 people at a time.
Check out the list below for a rundown on where you can get your fitness fix, starting next month.
Total Fusion
Newstead And Chermside
Info is still limited at this stage, but Total Fusion has announced that classes will be up and running soon for a limited number of patrons across all of their studios. They’ve also assured members that their teams have doubled down on their cleaning procedures, to ensure you’re kept safe (and sweaty).
Ritual HQ
The Gap
Group training is back on the schedule at Ritual HQ, with a new timetable up and running as of Monday 8 June. Not quite ready to go back? They're also keeping their Zoom classes for anyone who'd prefer to get sweaty at home.
Harlow Hot Yoga & Pilates
Newstead
During the winter months, hot yoga is exactly what you need to fight off the cold (and the stress of COVID). Thankfully, Harlow Hot Yoga & Pilates is opening its doors to 20 lucky patrons a time. Their classes are sure to fill up fast, so book ahead to secure yourself a spot.
Soba
West End
Soba has confirmed their June return date, but details are still pretty scarce. For now, current members can join outdoor yoga classes in their fairy lit courtyard, but you can stay up-to-date by following their Insta page, where they’ll post any further announcements.
Inspire Cycle
Teneriffe
If you’re keen to get back on the bike, we’ve got good news: Inspire Cycle will be running classes for 19 at a time as of Saturday 13 June. There’ll be plenty of space between the bikes, so you can get in the zone without stressing about ‘rona—the way workouts were meant to be.
Function Well
Teneriffe
Get excited, Function Well is already ensuring their members stay on top of their workout regimes by running open gym sessions out of their carpark and deck. If you aren’t quite ready to explore the great outdoors, don’t stress—they’ll be opening their doors in June for a limited number of patrons.
12RND Fitness
Various
We are delighted to report that 12RND Fitness has confirmed that they’re back in the game, with their gyms set to reopen from Saturday 13 June. We’re still waiting on more info, so check out their individual Instagram pages to stay in the loop.
