Hands up if you missed out on BLANC de BLANC, one of the most captivating events to descend on the Coast thus far in 2017. Apparently there were plenty of you!
It seems, despite sell-out shows held over three weeks, there were hundreds if not thousands of sorry souls that didn’t get their arse into gear fast enough to secure seats. Well, ask and you shall receive, Gold Coast. After much pleading and begging from locals, organisers have just today announced that BLANC de BLANC, the riotous champagne cabaret, will be returning to the Coast this spring. Cue the confetti!
Those who attended the April shows, as part of Bleach*, will be nodding in agreement when we say this performance was mind-bendingly entertaining, the kind that makes your jaw bones ache because you’ve been grinning like a lunatic for two hours.
Originally appearing in London’s West End (yep, it’s kind of a big deal!) BLANC de BLANC is a product of Strut & Fret’s Scott Maidment, the creative genius behind Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour and world-famous circus cabarets, LIMBO and Cantina. While choreographer Kevin Maher has worked with the likes of Madonna, Britney and Bieber (no biggie).
The dynamic all-singing-dancing-acrobatic-comedy show takes place under an enchanting Spiegeltent and, this time, will be returning to the Coast with the stunning new Aurora Spiegeltent.
Like any night on the bubbles, as the evening’s cabaret progresses the debauchery elevates and, before you know it, you’re seeing wayyyy more of the cast then you bargained for. Warning: prudes stay away.
From Thursday 5 October through to Sunday 5 November, the Spiegeltent will be pitched at Broadwater Parklands in Southport—a much shorter Uber ride for you lucky northerners. Tickets are on sale as of today, with prices starting as low as $38 for standing or, $55 on ‘cheap Tuesdays’ and up to $78 for premium no-guarantee-you’ll-stay-dry front row seats. Folks, we’re urging you, no TELLING you, don’t miss your chance twice.
