Get your drinking legs ready, because a new wave of bars are coming our way in the second half of 2017 and one of your all-time Gold Coast faves is next in line.
The crew behind Nobby Beach institution, The Cambus Wallace, is just today allowing us to share breaking news of their migration south, with plans underway to drop anchor on their second venture—in Palm Beach!
The lads are holding onto the finer details for now, including the new name, but that’s cool, ‘cause we have faith that whatever they’re up to, they’ll knock it out of the park.
Embracing the same winning formula they’ve perfected at The Cambus Wallace, we’ve been told to expect the similar warmth and feel with lots of wood, and those moody rum bar vibes that have lured folk back time and time again. Delicious food offerings are also on the agenda and, given co-owner Dave Ferry’s ridic love and whisky knowledge, their back bar selection will no doubt be extensive.
On track to open late winter, The Cambus Wallace will take over the ground level space vacated under 8th Ave Terrace. What a cracking combo of vibrant young hospos in the same complex; and we’re calling it now, between the two venues, this three-story Palm Beach destination will be absolutely buzzing come spring. You’ll know where to find us, happily fluttering up and down the stairs between cocktails and fancy eats and one of the coolest crowds you’ll find anywhere on the Gold Coast.
Sail her home, boys. We’re rooting for ya!
