Sometimes all we need in life is a bit of a heads up. 

Don't forget to buy your mum a Christmas present!

Christmas Projections at Melbourne Town Hall

See Melbourne’s Town Hall and iconic surroundings come alive with Christmas lighting projections! Enjoy a festive journey through the 12 Days of Christmas with a light show by world-class projection designers, The Electric Canvas, screening from dusk ‘til 11pm.

Awkward Christmas Portraits at Melbourne Central

YES! Melbourne Central has set up an internet-lover’s dream with an awkward Christmas Portraits pop-up. Queue daggy Christmas sweaters, cheesy backdrops, and awkward expressions from you and the fam. Happy snapping!

Santa’s Christmas Spectacular at Wonderland Fun Park

See Dockland’s Wonderland Fun Park transform into a Christmas spectacular with Santa’s magical workshop, live performances, a Santa letter box, and a chance to see Father Christmas himself!

Christmas Flicks at the Outdoor Cinema at QV Melbourne

Melbourne’s newest outdoor cinema at QV Melbourne will be getting into the silly season festivities with a series of Chrissie flicks! Catch Christmas classics ‘Elf’ and ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ in the lead up to Xmas day.

Biggest LEGO Christmas Tree in the Southern Hemisphere

All of the LEGO! The epic LEGO Christmas tree returns to Fed Square this year, reaching almost 10 metres tall, and made from half a million LEGO pieces. Come and see the tree come to life with a daily light show accompanied by Christmas carols over the silly season.

Merry-Go-Market at Queen Victoria Market

This one’s for the kiddies! The QVM Merry-Go-Market will feature a petting zoo, live kids entertainment, face painting, a balloon artist, and more to keep the little ones happy during the holidays. Queen Vic Market will also be running their Wednesday night market throughout December if you’re still hunting for those Christmas buys.

Gingerbread Village at Melbourne Town Hall

Next stop, Gingerbread Village! Epicure’s 5th Gingerbread Village returns to Melbourne Town Hall this year, comprising of about 500 kilograms of gingerbread goodness. Entry to the event is free, but opt in for a gold coin donation and all proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Australia.

Myer Christmas Windows

It just wouldn’t be Christmas without a stop by Myer’s Christmas Windows, and this year’s story is by local Melburnian authors Corinne Fenton and Robin Cowcher. ‘Little Dog and the Christmas Wish’ will be making kids happy until January.

Carols By Candlelight at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl

A Christmas tradition of 77 years, the Carols By Candlelight kicks off from 8pm on Christmas eve, bringing together  classic Christmas carols and fun for the entire fam. Don’t miss out on this Christmas favourite, and head to Ticketek to secure your seats.

Christmas Lunch at Bangpop
