Flavours Festival Heads to Grattan Gardens Today!

Flavours food festival is upon us, dear Urban Listers! Celebrating Prahran's melting pot of multicultural cuisine, Flavours promises to give Grattan Gardens festival-goers a delicious taste of every corner of the world, with an international food market and impressive line-up of cooking demonstrations.

Among the drool-worthy offerings is a Lebanese feast cooked by Masterchef 2013 finalist, Samira El Khafir. The delightful chef will be sharing the secrets to her tesiyeh – a traditional Lebanese breakfast of crispy bread topped with chickpeas, yoghurt and a nut sauce. She cooked it on the show, and if it's good enough for Mr Preston and co., it's certainly good enough for us! Yummmo!

Sweet tooths don't fret, Flavours also has your dessert needs covered. Those who are saccharine inclined (guilty!) can learn the tips and tricks to getting the perfect French macaron from master chocolatier, Arno Backes. And yes, we insist quality testing is mandatory!

International music, dance workshops, craft activities and market stalls are also on the menu today, as well as children's activities to keep the little ones entertained!

So gather the gang, slip on your stretchiest pants and celebrate multiculturalism with a fork in hand!
