Counting down the days till it’s hot enough for you to head straight to your regular fro-yo joint to order up big? We don’t blame you! This spring, everyone’s fave snack gets even better, with a stack of new flavours and yummy toppings for you to get excited about. If you want to know the latest and greatest from all the big players in Melbourne’s fro-yo arena, get reading because we’ve got the ultimate fro-yo combos for you to dip your spoon into right now!

Here are Melbourne’s best fro-yo combinations.

Frozen by 1000 Blessings

Richmond

These guys have so many flavours to choose from it’s easy to get overwhelmed. We’ve narrowed it down to two of our faves and believe me, this was a hard task. Frozen by 1000 Blessings’ Treat Yo Self flavor is definitely one for the caramel lovers, featuring creamy banana caramel fro-yo topped with house-made honeycomb and made even more special with mouth-watering caramel slice and decadent caramel sauce. In short: Banana & Caramel BFFL. You’re looking at some of the best fro-yo in Melbourne right there. For something on the healthier side try the Superfood Synergy, which contains a base of coconut fro-yo, topped with a medley of chia seeds, goji berries and cacao nibs. It’s sweet enough to keep you satisfied but still filled with all the good things to keep you going!

Yo-Chi

Carlton, Balaclava, & Hawthorne

Get yourself to Melbourne fro-yo haven, Yo-Chi to try their amazing ‘Ready Set Yo’ sauce on top of your fave fro-yo flavour! This little guy is a brand new organic creation that works in a similar fashion to good ol’ fashioned Ice Magic. Just pour it on hot and wait for it to set—delish! Yo-Chi recommends combining the hazelnut Ready Set Yo with the Signature Tart fro-yo, piled with freshly cut juicy strawberries and scoops of cornflake crunch. Go on, pile it up as high as you can—you know you want to!

Ayomo

South Melbourne

While we love everything that Ayomo do, we’ve somehow narrowed it down to one of their most delicious combos! Sink your teeth into the beautifully natural fro-yo, adding chunks of peanut butter and lashings of raspberry coulis for an amazing flavour hit. It might seem an unlikely combo but the peanut butter works perfectly with the sharp features of the raspberry. Spring also marks the launch of Ayomo’s new Freeze Up! range. This soft-serve delight is made from Ayomo’s signature cold pressed juices and is completely vegan-friendly. Enjoy swirls of Summer Lovin’ (apple, pineapple, lemon, mint) and Garden Green (apple, spinach, cucumber, celery, kale) for a healthy twist to satisfy that sweet afternoon craving.

YOMG

Mordialloc

For the ultimate indulgence, you simply cannot go past YOMG’s Yo My Indulgence. Picture swirls of salted caramel intertwined with spoonfuls of peanut butter, poured over creamy chocolate fro-yo and topped with Nutella, caramel fudge, chocolate pretzels, crushed Oreo AND handmade granola made by Irrewarra Bakery. What a mouthful! This one is definitely not for the faint-hearted but definitely gets our seal of approval and all the love heart emojis.

Cacao Green

Chadstone

Keep things simple and tasty with Cacao Green’s delicious range of fro-yo flavours and healthy toppings. For us it’s all about the original flavour with raspberry puree and a combo of fresh strawberries. It’s simple, it’s tasty and above all, it’s pretty much a guilt-free snack when you need a sugar hit during a neverending work day!

Yummoo

Brunswick East

With flavours like Soy Cinnamon Doughnut and 100% Passionfruit, you know you’re in for a tasty ride at Yummoo before you even cue the magical selection of toppings! So what do we recommend? Get things started with the Passionfruit fro-yo and then load it up chocolate-style with everything from chunks of Oreo, milk chocolate drops and chocolate macadamia. You can even go one step further by adding the passionfruit puree! Yep, it’s indulgent but the pairing of chocolate and passionfruit is the ultimate pick-me-up! And you can’t argue with that, right?
