Summer in Victoria is going to be the perfect opportunity to reacquaint yourself with our amazing assets around regional Victoria.

And after months of a tumultuous lockdown, a few days surrounded by farms and rolling hills in the Yarra Valley might just be what the doctor ordered.

Who needs a trip to Italy's wine regions when we have one of Australia's most iconic wine regions just a one hour drive from the CBD. We've teamed up with the legends at Intrepid Travel to put together a three-day escape to the Valley where you'll try a lot of wine, delicious produce from the region, and take in the natural beauty that we usually take for granted.

This Urban List: Editor's Pick getaway will see you staying in beautiful historic accommodation in Healesville, the heart of the Yarra Valley on the traditional land of the Wurundjeri people. Your first day will see you settle in at your accommodation and learn the history of the local area, from the Yarra Valley's First Nations history to its time as a goldrush settlement. All, of course, followed by a delicious five-course meal crafted from local produce.

The following day will see you ride alongside the historic railway route through the Valley, taking in vineyards, farmland, and forest, with the chance to spot kangaroos, birdlife, and Spring wildflowers along the way. You'll also have lunch and a drink at a Mount Evelyn winery before returning to Healesville for a gin masterclass at the renowned Four Pillars distillery.

Your final day on this Editor's Pick getaway in the Yarra Valley will have you wandering the tree-line streets of Healesville with a chance to poke your head in the amazing shops, galleries, and creative spaces that dot the main street.

Expect more wine as you head into an urban winery for lunch, and get stuck into more with a tasting of wines from the next generation of Australian winemakers.

The first tour kicks off on Thursday 19 November and will run every month into 2021. So, celebrate the lifting of restrictions and start to rediscover Victoria's amazing regions.
