There’s no better way to meditate than with baby goats, and anyone who disagrees can fight us on this. But whether you're a fan or not, it doesn't matter—the baby goat meditation trend is slowly taking over Melbourne (and the world), one billy at a time.
Goat-based activities like goat yoga and goat meditation work because, well, goats really love people. They want to snuggle, nuzzle and be showered with affection while you try really hard not to think about all the things you have to do this week.
Luckily for you, Karmably understands the struggle of meditation when you’re just a beginner. It can be impossible trying to focus while your mind moves at 100 miles an hour, especially with cute animals running around. But apparently, the goats "act as a metaphor for what meditating actually feels like when you first start" (and we must say that they do a pretty good job at it). So these classes are meant to help you learn to embrace the disorder and learn that meditation is not about perfection.
You can book a workshop and experience the 90-minute baby goat bliss for yourself. If they’re running low on goats, you might even be treated to some piglets, rabbits or guinea pigs. Expect some light stretching, sound meditation and a whole lot of cuddling.
