Every Wednesday night, the Queen Victoria Market will transform into a winter wonderland full of Melbourne's most talented performers, designers and gourmet food vendors. Running from 9th of July 'til the 27th of August, Luna1878 will see the likes of Hammer & Tong, 400 Gradi and Hoy Pinoy dishing out winter fare, while Melbourne's craftiest artisans will be selling their wares. Pick up a mulled mine, peruse the stalls and soak in the jazzy tunes.

It's bacccck! The Finders Keepers Market boasts a line up of incredibly talented crafty, arty types. Head to the Royal Exhibition Building on the 25th and 26th of July to browse over 220 design and art stalls. In exciting news, The Finders Keepers Marker will now also feature Farmers Lane, a dedicated food and produce section featuring food trucks, a bar and spots to re-caffeinate. All this fun for just $2 entry.

On Saturday the 26th of July, head to the Brunswick Town Hall to peruse a beautiful selection of stalls at Sisters' Market, featuring handmade accessories, artwork, homewares, flowers and more. While you're there, make sure you pick up a yummy pretzel from the friendly folk at Bretzel Biz.

A partnership with Thornbury Women's Neighbourhood House and Northcote Social Club, Northern Regards Artisan Market sells sustainable, up-cycled and recycled handmade wares. Oh, and they serve beer. Yep, an ethical market with beer…what's not to love?!

Are you a lover of the homemade and handcrafted? My arty friends, this Melbourne art and craft market boasts the very best contemporary handmade products, including clothing, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, glass and timber works. Grab a borek and make a day of it.

Searching for a good read to snuggle with this winter? The largest weekly book market in Melbourne, Federation Square Book Market features over 5000 new and pre-loved titles, including literature, history, gardening, travel and art, as well as children's books for the little bookworms.

Housed in the iconic Evelyn Hotel, Love, Eveyln Market is one of the darned cutest boutique markets in Melbourne! Head there on the first and third Saturday of the month to shop clothing, books, assorted vintage wares and handmade pleasantries. There are beers and Bloody Marys on hand for thirsty thrift shoppers and a tarot card reader will be doing the rounds.

Hipsters, this Brunswick market is sure to tickle your fancies! One of Melbourne's best flea markets, Brunswick Flea sells both new and pre-loved wares, featuring everything from delicious goodies to handmade accessories to second hand books and old school vinyl. Grab lunch and peruse the wares.

Every Sunday, thousands of bargain hunters descend on Camberwell for (you guessed it) Camberwell Market. Considered one of Melbourne's best markets, at this popular trash 'n' treasure trove traders park their cars and sell second-hand, homemade and knick-knacky goods from their boots. Grab a hot jam donut (they're darn good!) and put your haggling skills to good use.

Head to the Waterfront City's Promenade and Piazza every Sunday to shop an array of art, vintage ware, retro clothing, old books and jewellery. Browse the stalls, grab a bite and let yourself be serenaded by charming Terry the piano player. He's a charmer, alright!

This Sunday trash and treasure market boasts over 145 stalls, filled with plants, pre-loved clothing, cosmetics, antiques, crafts and more! The perfect spot to nab a car boot bargain or five.

An art gallery, cinema, events space, café and home to Hip Hop Karaoke – 1000 £ Bend also hosts Bend & Snap on the last Sunday of every month. This design market showcases the incredible creations of local illustrators, fashion designers, jewellers and textile artists. Inspired by all of the art? Head to 'Crafternoon Corner' for an afternoon of gluey fun.

Take 2 is one of the best Melbourne markets for thrifty fashionistas, boasting a huge collection of recycled designer and vintage fashion. Held at the Queen Victoria Shed this month, it's the perfect place to go if you're looking to spruce up your style at a fraction of the retail price.

A Fitzroy hipster hot-spot, Rose St Artists Market is one of Melbourne's best art and design markets, featuring prints, photography, fashion and jewellery, not to mention tasty treats and cool beats…oh, and bike hire too! Still ravenous? Head upstairs to the Young Bloods Diner rooftop for a plate of coddled eggs…they're heavenly!

The Arts Centre Melbourne Sunday Market hosts 80 of Victoria's finest artisans, showcasing a variety of unique, handmade goods ranging from candles and aromatherapy to preserves and freshly made delicacies. A city favourite.

Stoll along The Esplanade on a Sunday and peruse the makers' market. Featuring over 120 unique stalls, The Esplanade Market boasts an impressive selection of handcrafted wood products, artworks, jewellery, homewares, artisan goodies and more!

On the first Saturday of the month, head to Abbotsford Primary School to shop curious bits and bobs, the market boasting everything from pre-loved clothing to instruments (both musical and scientific!) and plants in shoes (not a typo). Pick up a loaf of organic bread and, if you're feeling particularly naughty, some buttery French goodies.

One of Melbourne's beloved northside markets, Fitzroy Market boasts 65 stalls selling all things vintage, second-hand and hand-made. Make sure you grab one of their gourmet pies (they're too darn good!).

Slow Food Melbourne
Countering the current fast food culture, Slow Food Melbourne works with producers to promote thoughtful shopping and ethical eating. Head to the Abbotsford Convent and get familiar with some of Victoria's finest farmers and learn to truly appreciate every bite you take.

Grab a coffee and brekkie at Coburg Farmers Market's popular food stands before you gather your goods from the farmers' stalls. Kids just can't stay still while you shop? Coburg North Primary School has a huge playground, so junior burgers can be kept entertained while you shop, shop, shop the morning away at one of Melbourne's best farmers markets!

Westsiders, have you checked out The Substation's farmers market yet? No? Well you most definitely should! The Newport community-based arts venue hosts a great bi-monthly farmers market, selling everything from organic craft cider to homemade kale chips.

On the first Saturday of every month, St Kilda's favourite organic community-run garden, Peanut Farm Reserve, hosts Veg Out St Kilda Farmers Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with organic fruit and vegies, cheeses, free range eggies and more all sold directly from the producers.

Held at Collingwood Children's Farm every month, this community-owned market features more than 50 of Victoria's best producers and artisans. Peruse the stalls, stock up for the week and indulge in some ready-to-eat treats (hello buffalo sausages!) from one of Melbourne's best farmers markets. After the market ends, stay on for a meander through the farm – you may just get asked to milk a cow!

This Flemington market sells the best seasonal produce from around Victoria. Aside from country treats, the market also boasts a huge range of crafty items, with cards, scented candles, and accessories all available for sale!

This Fairfield farmers market is filled to the brim with free-range meats, freshly laid eggs, seasonal fruit and vegies, milk straight from the farm, handmade cheeses, nuts and seedlings plus heaps more!
