Aren’t long, boozy lunches just the best? While a cheeky mid-week get-together brings the beloved weekend that tiny bit closer, an indulgent weekend lunch is even sweeter – and Neil Perry’s Rockpool Bar And Grill city pop-up is just the place for it.
Following the success of Rockpool’s pop-up at Alfred Place earlier this year, Neil Perry and his team have decided to bring back their culinary crusade from November 29 to December 21.
Showcasing the best of Neil Perry’s celebrated restaurant, the pop-up will bring award-winning flavours for a fraction of the price. Each dish guarantees the finest produce and the only thing compromised is the bill. From freshly-shucked oysters with mignonette to David Blackmore’s juicy wagyu hamburger with bacon, Gruyere cheese, Zuni pickle and crispy chips, each plate is equally fresh as it is delicious. And while the melt-in-your-mouth wood-roasted scallops with garlic butter are a must-try, the simplicity and rich flavours of the wagyu bolognaise will leave you speechless. But be warned: no future bolognaise will ever trump it.
Wash it all down with a glass (read: bottle) from their outstanding wine catalogue, but make sure you leave room for dessert because you can sink your teeth into Rockpool’s famed passionfruit pavlova for just $12. Oh, and did we mention happy hour? Kicking off from 4pm daily, you can nab a beer for just $7 or a Rockpool Grosset with complimentary snacks for just $19. Sign us up.
This is one hatted pop-up you don’t want to miss.
