It’s time to enjoy a pub feed that’s a step above the rest. After being sent into socially-distanced hiding at the start of this year, Half Moon in Brighton will be reopening their doors this Friday with a whole new look.
The Half Moon team haven’t just been sitting at home, eating their feelings and binge-watching Tiger King like the rest of us during quarantine. They have been hard at work completely transforming every aspect of their pub to evoke classic pub vibes with a fresh menu and even fresher look when their doors finally reopen. The idea is to bring you the comfort and history of a traditional country pub while elevating the dining and drinking experience by refining the standard pub menu.
To bring life to the space, the entire interior has been through an extensive refurbishment at the hands of renowned stylist Anna Robert. Expect rich textures throughout with leather seating against soft sage green walls. European-inspired marble mosaic tiles lend a touch of glam to the swish new interiors, and the massive windows flood the atrium with natural light. Every corner and wall is lined with hand-picked pieces of history, from antique silverware to vintage tea sets, all contributing to the cosy, comfortable atmosphere.
A fresh look isn’t all that’s changed at this iconic Melbourne Pub. Half Moon has not only welcomed all new management to the team, but also Andrew Braham as their new Head Chef. While there is nothing wrong with your average steak and fries, Braham has put together a menu of elevated pub favourites that go above and beyond the standard fare. We’re talking beef Wellington, chicken parma and ploughman's lunch, all made with the freshest produce available to bring you iconic flavours, done perfectly.
More interested in the drinks menu? They have you covered there as well, having created a beverage program designed specifically to accompany their new menu. Continuing along with the ethos of delivering an honest pub experience, there will be many a classic English cocktail on their curated cocktail menu, as well as all your pub favourites and plenty of gin-heavy options.
The reopening of Half Moon is taking place on Friday, 30 October, so book in a table and prepare to redefine what makes a top-notch pub experience.
