Whether you’re a born and raised ‘Westie’ or you have a die-hard mate who rarely seems to cross the Bolte or the Westgate, nowhere seems to rep their roots quite like the Westside.

To launch the new PUMA Highpoint store on 7 December, they're getting well and truly amongst their new home, by celebrating iconic local businesses and artists that make the Westside tick.

As part of the tribute to the community, PUMA is releasing a new series of designs inspired by the Westside. Here’s everything you need to know about these limited-edition designs and how you can get your hands on them through a selection of iconic local businesses.

The Designs

Commissioning local artists to personify the spirit of the Westside on the tees, you can expect to see the works of indegneous artist Aretha Brown, award-winning urban photographer Nicole Reed and Mongolian-Australian muralist and fine artist, Khosnaran Khurelbaatar, just to name a few. How To Score Them

To get your hands on the threads, you'll need to make a purchase at either Two Birds Brewing, West Footscray’s Rex Hairdressing, The SUBSTATION Art Centre in Newport, Footscray’s legendary 8bit, Sun Theatre cinema in Yarraville, West Footscray’s Blunt Barbers or The Whiskey Barrel Tattoo Parlour in Yarraville to claim one of the limited number of keyrings.

The keyring will feature a unique code which will allow you to claim your limited-edition PUMA x Westside tee at the Highpoint store during the opening event on the 7th. What’s even better is that all profits from the limited-edition tees will be donated to local causes and charities. But make sure to get in quick, there's only a limited number available.

The Opening

Brace yourself for a Westside-inspired mural painted live by local artist, Aretha Brown, live music from DJ Jade Zoe and all-round good vibes. There'll even a pop-up creator space featuring clothing customisation with bespoke designs printed live (with any PUMA purchase) along with free sneaker customisation and cleaning on your PUMA kicks with the Sneaker Laundry. Get in quick, the first100 customers will also score free PUMA tote bag containing exclusive deals with Westside businesses.

Seriously, what’s better than repping the Westside with your very own limited-edition PUMA | WESTSIDE tee? Our thoughts exactly.
