It must be unsettling to rock up to a yoga class in Melbourne and, you know, just do yoga. What, no dogs? No beer? No creepy clowns in a sauna toasting jaffles?
The Rochey is the latest venue to join the yoga trend, and this event actually sounds pretty cool. Yoga + negroni cocktails. Yep, two of our favourite things at once.
The class will be lead by Rosie Jean from @iliveinbalance. And that what's this event is all about balance—specifically the balance between gin, Campari and vermouth.
Rosie is a Yoga/Meditation teacher and psychology student who obviously enjoys the odd negroni (don't we all). The idea was to create balance between well-being and fun. Ultimately, yoga is about connection and exploring your body and mind, whatever that means to you. Not everyone is going to feel comfortable going to a yoga studio, but everyone's comfortable around cocktails.
The class will be open to all levels of bendiness. It'll begin with simple meditation, move into an accessible Vinyasa flow and finish with a long guided full body relaxation. Zev Tropp will be DJing live at the class. And then for the important stuff—your class ticket includes a Negroni, and you're welcome to stay for more.
Spaces are limited and tickets are $30, so get in quick for some relaxation and refreshments. You can grab tickets over here.
Who knows, you might even find a new hobby. And by hobby, I mean drink of choice. Or the yoga...that’s good too.
