This might be the most exciting collab of the year. The Astor Theatre is showing a Sofia Coppola double feature at the end of the month, and they’ve invited Supernormal Canteen along to cater. Boo-freaking-yeah.
What does this mean? It means on September 30 you can watch The Beguiled (the film that took out Cannes’ Best Director gong this year) AND Coppola’s classic Lost In Translation, back to back.
Head chef Tim Goegan will be on-hand with the Supernormal Canteen crew, slinging some very special choc-tops. They’re gonna be modelled on Canteen’s signature peanut butter parfait with salted caramel and soft chocolate. That’s a waffle cone, filled with gooey parfait, doused in salted caramel and topped with roasted peanuts.
Oh, you seem to be drooling slightly. Here’s a tissue. You’re welcome.
“We’re huge fans of Coppola and are dead excited to work with the Astor,” Goegan said. “As soon as we saw Lost in Translation on the programme, synapses started firing!’
