The year is drawing to a quick and final close signalling it’s finally time to bliss out with a well-deserved summer getaway. Blessed with a booming gastronomic scene, glorious weather, lush hinterland and rugged coastlines, we’re calling it—Noosa is the perfect place to hit the reset button this summer.

To help you get a taste of it all, we teamed up with Visit Noosa to curate only the most ‘Grammable travel itinerary.

Immerse Yourself In Natural Wonders

Packed with natural splendour, Noosa is one of the only places where you can skip between rugged coastal hikes, ride out world-class surf breaks and canoe through one of the only Everglades in the world. With the only other Everglades system found in Florida, this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity that will leave you in awe. The Everglades are a magical waterway so tranquil and still, it transforms into a glass mirror and reflects the skies above. Hire a canoe at Elanda Point, paddle across Lake Cootharaba and up the Noosa Everglades or turn it into an overnight adventure by paddling the 19km to Campsite Three. Stay the night (don’t forget to book), then after you’ve enjoyed brekky on your very own jetty, hike to the Cooloola Sandpatch for incredible views over the ocean and the Everglades. Pure bliss.

From the bush to the beach, Noosa serves up an array of stunning hikes but the world-famed coastal trail can’t be missed.  Dotted with photo opportunities aplenty, from Boiling Point to the Fairy Pools and Hell’s Gate, we highly recommend setting aside a full morning for this hike or trek as far as your legs will carry you. All you need to remember is to keep the ocean on your left and that the way in is the way out. Just be sure to grab a slow brekky at Hastings Street post-hike.

As the tenth World Surfing Reserve dedicated to preserving the unique coastal breaks that create some of the best waves in the world, you best strap on the leg rope and ride out your afternoon on the waves in Noosa. Beginners and longboarders should head to Little Cove or First Point and anyone on a shortboard, make a beeline for Main Beach. If you’re more into SUPing, the spectacular still waters of the Noosa River are calling your name. This pristine aquatic corridor extends from the river mouth through to Lake Cooroibah and offers up some seriously breathtaking views. If the swell is gentle enough, head to Main Beach if you want to catch a few waves.

Skip Between Ultra-Cool Boutiques

From famous fashion boutiques housing international and local designers to artisan studios with handmade wares, get ready to uncover the micro-villages across the Noosa region and shop ‘til you drop. Nestled in the heart of Noosa on Hastings Street you’ll discover Alterior Motif, home to the likes of Holly Ryan and Spell Designs, and just a few steps away is Bow And Arrow, where you can rifle through racks of coastal chic designs. For anyone seeking ethically-produced goods, Woman. By Abby Rose will have you lusting after a whole treasure trove of sustainable threads, homewares and lifestyle products all in the one place. Further south on Sunshine Beach Road is Ready Or Not brimming with luxury goods and CLO Studios nearby on Lanyana Way curating all your chic interior needs.

At the southern section of Noosa, wedged between a slice of pristine shoreline and rolling hinterland is Peregian Beach, the perfect spot for a cheeky post-swim shop. With a super-tight curation of stunning homewares, accessories, and clothing, send The Romantic to the top of your must-shop list. There’s also the Style Work Room just around the corner, boasting a carefully curated collection of vintage styles, Bohemian Sundays with coastal cool boho looks and lovers of high-quality and slow, sustainable fashion should head straight to Cloth & Hide. Here, you can pick up timeless statement staples that are hand-dyed and printed.

Fill Your Fork

Set to the backdrop of rugged coastlines and lush hinterland, there’s a new wave of food and drink experiences brewing in Noosa and you need to experience it. For the perfect breakfast, the choices are endless but you can’t go wrong with Moto in Noosa Junction. They’re on a mission to bring jaffles back with a spin on your favourite childhood classic (plus, they do a damn good locally-roasted Clandestino brew). For food that’s equally as ‘Grammable as the coastal cool decor, pop into VanillaFood and ask for the hot smoked trout with dill yoghurt, watercress, smashed peas and a boiled egg on house-made stoneage bread. It’s totally wholesome and 100 per cent organic. For something on the sweeter side, step into 10 Hastings Street for pancakes on the sun-drenched patio.

Equally great for lunch and dinner, there’s a slew of eateries serving up next-level dishes guaranteed to impress your tastebuds. For a dining experience so close to the beach you can practically feel the sea salt spray on your face, head to Bistro C. Boasting an award-winning menu with a fierce loyalty to local produce like Coffin Bay oysters, roasted duck leg and truffled potato gnocchi, this restaurant is bound to leave you asking for more. Next up on the hit list, step inside El Capitano for 72-hour fermented sourdough pizza washed down with all the cocktails your heart desires, or you can’t go wrong with the epic Asian-inspired eats at Light Years

A holiday goes hand in hand with a few cheeky cocktails and, thankfully, Noosa delivers top-notch watering holes in troves. One of the most iconic? Miss Moneypenny’s found on Hastings Street. With a fun lineup of 80s cruise ship drinks, like piña coladas and Singapore slings (made with the original Raffles Hotel recipe), you honestly can’t go wrong. Keep the good times coming at Paradise Arcade. Hidden down Arcadia Street off Noosa Junction’s main drag, this Californian-inspired bar has you sorted for real-deal Mexican cocktails. As for the chilled traveller, you’ve got your choice of smooth brews from Land & Sea Brewery (try the tasting paddle) or housemade gin, whisky and vodka waiting for you at Fortune Distillery—all conveniently housed within the same building.

Start packing your bags because this dreamy paradise is closer than you think. This summer, hit the reset button and get ready to bliss out in stunning Noosa
