If you live around the Brunswick area, you’re probably familiar with the Asian fusion culinary master, Tom Phat. Combining the elements of Thai street food with modern Australian twists, this warm and cosy-looking space has definitely touched the heart of many. Unlike most fusion restaurants, Tom Phat is famous for its signature breakfast menu that has been up and running since 2004.
As they turn 16 this year, they’re planning to celebrate it with a little sweet pop up store. The catch you ask? Their signature breakfast menu. Sway Quach, the owner and director of Tom Phat mentioned that this pop up is all about satisfying your brekky menu crave. With the lockdown in place, Tom Phat has pivoted its focus to serve dinner-menu only, eliminating the breakfast menu from the list. "So we decided to bring back our brekky dishes and serve them in a takeaway, at its original price."
So this Sunday 18 October, get your hands on their two limited brekky menu. Option one is the Roti Omelette complete with crispy bacon, chives and eggs, and topped with a roasted tomato lao salsa. If you prefer a meaty feast, you can opt for their famous Ho’s Brekky which includes grilled marinated pork chop, crispy fried egg, tomato, cucumber, steamed rice and nuoc cham. To level-up your dine-in-like experience, you can also order their signature Viet Iced Coffee, the herbaceous Bloody Mary, the refreshing Ho Chi Mint, as well as the Lychee Lime and Soda.
All you need to do is pre-order your food online via the website and head off to 184 Sydney Road between 10am to 1pm to pick it up.
