How To Survive Vogue American Express Fashion Night Out

Vogue American Express Fashion Night Out is coming (on Friday 1 September to be exact) and not only is your wardrobe about to get a whole lot better, so is your hustling, and because we want you to hustle your way through the streets of Melbourne in style, we’ve teamed up with the knowledgeable crew at Nespresso (who are about to launch three limited edition BARISTA coffees that you neeeeed to try) to bring you this trusty guide on how to actually survive fashion’s biggest night out.

Research, research, research. The city is going to be unbelievably busy and everyone is obvs going to want a piece of the bargains so pre-plan your purchases by researching exactly what it is you want online and arrive with a strategy.

Everyone knows that shopping = cardio so it only makes sense that you’re going to need to keep yourself seriously switched on to avoid burning out. Lucky for you, Nespresso have come to the rescue with an in-Boutique pop-up café, giving you a space to get a complimentary coffee fix before heading into to the madness. Serving their new limited edition range, BARISTA, nail the art of coffee and learn how to add your very own barista touch with a tulip, rosetta and heart from Shinsaku Fukayama (aka 2016 World Latte Art champion) himself!

You don’t have to look fashionable to buy fashion but luckily activewear is in for a reason. Wear the comfiest pair of white sneakers you own and pound the pavement without worrying about getting your heels stuck in a pothole (yes, this actually does happen IRL).

Teamwork makes the dream work and if you’re dreaming of buying that must-have wrap dress that everyone has on Instagram for half the price, you’re going to need your squad. Pair up and take down each store before someone else gets their hands on what you want.

VAEFNO always gets pretty intense with fashtastic steals left, right and centre and only a few hours to buy everything. But LBH, you’re going to want (and need) a break so why not make your way to the Nespresso Boutique to re-energise, where there will be a DJ spinning soothing beats and coffee, just in case you need to get your fix again.

You can find Nespresso's pop-up cafe at their Emporium Boutique (located at G-030 Emporium Melbourne, 269-321 Lonsdale Street) from 5pm on 1 September. Don't forget to share your fab latte art creations on your socials and hashtag #nespressobarista for bulk likes.
