Wanderlust in the City

Conscious consumers and yogis of all bendy abilities – this one's for you!

Australia's newest holistic festival, Wanderlust in the City, will bring together some of the world's best yoga teachers, mindful living experts, musical acts and organic food artisans on the 10th of March for a jam-packed, om-filled day at St Kilda's South Beach.

Head to the main stage (aptly called 'The Greatest Place') to catch one of the several yoga classes running throughout the day. While it's free to get your downward dog on, an upgrade will snag you a quick sign-in, a prime stretching spot in the front five rows and a chance to meet the teacher after the class – definitely an investment worth considering!

Wanderlust is also offering up AcroYoga, Hooping and Anti-Gravity Yoga classes for all those looking to spice up their stretching routine. A day spent cocooned in a suspended sling? So. Keen.

Make sure you also catch one of the festival's lectures at The Speakeasy. Not to be confused with the bootleg boozers of the prohibition era, The Speakeasy is a casual experience where Wanderlust presenters can 'speak easily' on topics pertaining to a mindful life. Guaranteed to add a healthy dose of wisdom to all who attend.

The festival grounds are open all day and free to roam, so take a wander through the mindful marketplace and sample nourishing nosh from local vendors. There's a huge range on offer (locally-caught-seafood tacos, anyone?), so whether you're a die-hard raw vegan or couldn't tell your kale from your quinoa, there'll be nutritious 'n delicious options to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.

Be sure to stick around once the sun goes down: Winderlust (Wanderlust + wine, genius!) offers fine organic wines and delicious paddock-to-plate fare, while The Greatest Place turns into an epic post-savasana dance party from 4 'til 8pm. Namaste!
