This Ramen Hot Spot Is Hosting A Groovy Japanese-Inspired Live Art Show This Month

Whether you’re turning up for their signature chicken broth ramen dishes or one of their yuzu-fuelled cocktails, wandering off of Chapel Street to Yoku Ono is always a good idea.

And later this month, for one night only they’ll be switching up their low-key, moody vibes for something a little wilder.

Yep, they’re hosting a groovy Japanese-inspired live art show, showcasing live painting from Melbourne-based artist, Jimminy Crickets. Her work specialises in cartoon-like images with a psychedelic twist. On the night she’ll also be creating a special piece, exclusively for the evening.

A number of her past works will also be displayed throughout the restaurant, complete with a sake master class and tasting, signature Yoku Ono food and drinks, as well as DJs spinning the decks all throughout the night. The bar will also be serving a selection of Yoku Ono's finest cocktails as well as sake, beer and wine.

Make sure you don’t sleep on this one, ‘cause the event is strictly limited to 100 tickets, with a $1 of every ticket purchase as well as the proceeds from the painting created on the night being donated to The Prahran Mission.
