The Freo brewpub that can do no wrong, Little Creatures has a brand new venue in the works that’ll be taking over the space we’ve come to know as Creatures NextDoor and let us tell you, it all sounds very, very exciting.

The whole thing is part of a bigger investment happening in the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, including a refurb of the Little Creatures backyard on the boat harbour (just in time for summer!), the addition of juicy burgs from new resident Huxtaburger and the kingpin, a brand new bar, restaurant and entertainment venue dedicate to sharing honest, fresh, locally-sourced food and the best craft beers, artisan spirits and wine from around the world.

The name of this work-of-genius-to-be is yet to be announced, but it’s set to incorporate all the best part of Creatures NextDoor—ocean views for cocktail hour—and The Red Room—live music and performance art—into one unique and contemporary venue. The team will be working with Six By Nine Agency to keep an exciting calendar of national touring acts centre stage for those wanting to catch live music, burlesque, comedy and more at home in Freo.

With Little Creatures turning 18 year next year, it’s safe to say the place is well and truly part of the fabric in Perth. They spearheaded the Australian craft beer industry and have been providing a space for good times for we Perthlings since before we knew we needed it—so we are pretty damn excited to see the place get a revamp.

Creatures NextDoor will be closing for a couple of weeks to let the works take place, but the team will be hosting a bi ol’ celebration to say goodbye first—so stay tuned. Let’s give them a first class send off and start getting excited to welcome the newest addition to the Perth hospitality world, all thanks to one of the oldest and most-loved venues we’ve got.

In the meantime, check out all these awesome new spots in Perth.
