If you’re looking to up your cooking skills, pick the brains of some of Perth’s top foodies, support Perth’s hospitality scene AND give to charity, then Come Cook With Me is just what the doctor ordered.

A new initiative from Rotary of Elizabeth Quay, Come Cook With Me aims to connect the community and raise some dosh for charities. It is set to be a weekly event which will see a local restaurant take to the screen for an hour each Friday night to show you how to cook some of Perth’s most iconic dishes.

How iconic? Well, they’re starting this Friday night with Al Craigie from RoyAl’s Chicken and Burgers giving you some sweet burger hacks and they’ve got The Moon plus plenty of others in the pipeline so yeah, we're liking the sound of it.

All you need to do is buy your ticket—100% of profits go to a charity of your choosing, either Beyond Blue, ALYA or The Royal Flying Doctor—and you’ll unlock a list of ingredients to shop for during the week so you can cook along come go-time. Your ticket will also give you a discount for meals ordered on Mobi2Go, just in case your kitchen skills aren’t quite up to scratch.

For now, it will be a 10-part series but the ultimate goal is to get Come Cook With Me off the ground and overseas (virtually, of course). We might be isolated in Perth, but we’re lucky enough to share a time zone with some foodie hot spots—think Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and beyond—and Come Cook With Me has big plans to bring on some serious international talent when the time is right, but for now, it’s all about supporting local.

Get your ticket for this Friday night and stay tuned for the next instalment.
