Drastic times call for drastic measures and if that means turning beer into hand sanitiser, we’re here for it.
There’s no doubt germ-killing hand sanitiser is in high demand right now, and in response to our COVID-19 affected times, Limestone Coast brewing will be manufacturing World Health Organisation grade hand sanitiser with approximately 80% ethanol. They'll also be infusing it with lemon myrtle which has proven anti-viral and anti-fungal properties.
SPINIFEX Brewing Co will be launching a new brand, SPINIFEX Protect, to handle the sales and distribution.
The two breweries are already in discussion with the state government and Shire of Broome to lock in a manufacturing plant in the Kimberley so they are better prepared to protect the Indigenous community there.
They’ll be supplying the hand sanitiser in order of need with a clear focus on regional and Indigenous communities and health centres, but if you're in need you can try your luck at getting some by signing up here.
