Calling all dog lovers: if you thought you were the kind of person who would never get emotionally invested in a dog show then think again, because a fuzzy promenade of pooch appreciation is snuffling its way to our big city neighbour, Brisbane.
This is all in honour of the Dog Lovers Show, a huge Sydney and Melbourne social event that will be taking over the RNA Showgrounds’ Convention Centre in early November. But this is not just a ribbon ceremony, heck no, the Dog Lovers Show is more like an explosive festival of canine appreciation.
The event will feature some sound expert advice and education by animal experts-come-celebrity Vet Dr Chris Brown himself and Dr Katrina Warren on the KONG Celebrity Vet Stage, as well as crack animal trainer Peta Clarke and her ‘Star Pooches’. These aren’t the only famous faces though, as the show will also include an Insta-Pooch Zone where fans can come face to muzzle with some of Australia’s most famous hounds and snag themselves a selfie or a paw-tograph. Naaaw!
On the philanthropic front, the event will also include a Rescue Dog Zone to help raise awareness for pupper adoption and help some wee doggos find their forever homes.
There’ll also be some face-painting for the kidlets and a convoy of Brisbane’s favourite food trucks to keep everyone fed and watered. Overall, it promises to be a rollicking weekend of pup-powered joy that should be a must on the social calendar of any serious dog lover.
