Coffee + Free Wifi | Our Fave Cafes Who Do Both

By Penny Shipway - 20 Apr 2016

Are you a budding entrepreneur in need of some time out of the dreary home office or simply just want to cruise the creative halls of Pinterest for some inspo? Whatever the case may be, we’ve hunted down the best cafes on the Sunshine Coast with wifi.

But remember to use your manners, folks, and at least buy a latte (or three!) in order to keep this luxury alive and well. After all, surfing the net while devouring cake and coffee, while people watching, would have to be one of the greatest ways to perk your mojo—whether you’re working, pretending to be, or flicking through Tinder profiles.

Here are some of our favourite places on the Coast to lounge and stare at ours screens:

Urban Garden

If you’re only prepared to tap away in a space where you can sip top-notch coffee then park yourself at Urban Garden Maroochydore or Urban Garden Nambour, because they’re easily some of the best cafes on the Sunshine Coast with wifi. These guys actually think of their space as a cafe/workspace where meetings are regularly scheduled and creatives gather for caffeine-fuelled brainstorming. Plus their fit-outs are uber edgy with brick, copper, and wood. Cha-ching!
Where: Maroochydore and Nambour

Little May Espresso

This charming hinterland sweet-tooth haven is open seven days from 8am until 4pm, so if you hit a creative roadblock at 2pm there’s still coffee and sugary treats being served here. Complete with a super comfy couch to chill on (we bags that one!) plus locally-sourced produce in their baked goodies and light lunches, we definitely give Little May Espresso our online seal of approval.

Milk and Beans

In Alex and don’t want to hop in the car to head to Maroochydore or Mooloolaba for wifi? We totally get it, and so do Milk and Beans, which is why with any coffee purchase you’ll get access to their wifi for free. Seeing pixels from staring at the screen for too long? The beach is about a whole 10 steps across the road, so head over for a dip, and then resume.

Tome

Like cake? (No, we’re not talking about your Nanna’s madeira.) You know, the Insta-crazy ones. Giant. Dripping in chocolate and caramel. Flowers cascading down the side. And you can’t forget the macarons hanging precariously off the top. So grab a coffee at Tome and take one of those bad boys for the road. Knowing you’re having the king of cakes for dessert tonight will make your online banking sesh a whole lot more bearable.

With its casual, relaxed feel, Cafe Le Monde is open virtually all day, from brekkie through to dinner, so if you have stacks of work to do you can graze here from AM to PM while ploughing through your workload. Decisions

This naughty-but-nice eatery is one of the best cafés on the Sunshine Coast, and we love it all the more because it serves up errythang with a side of wifi. Go to Decisions for the smoothie bowls, raw desserts, and an epic eggs benny. You’ll find outdoor tables under an awning, or booths and bar tables inside. Pick your perch, then get down to business.

The Velo Project

If you’re the kind who needs to feel inspired by their workspace, a pit stop at The Velo Project should do just the trick. This mishmash café has you well catered for in the food department, so the likelihood of you getting h-angry and totally unproductive is next to none. A safe bet.
