Where To Take Mum This Mother’s Day On The Coast

While we’re sure many of you show your dear mothers how much you love them on a regular basis, it’s hella important to make Mother’s Day count. After all, it only comes around once a year!

If Mother’s Day doesn’t involve at least one delicious dining experience, you’re doing it wrong. Not only is Mumsy guaranteed to feel super spesh, but you also get to enjoy said delicious food! It’s totally a win-win.

Here are the best spots to celebrate this Mother’s Day on the Sunshine Coast. Hop to it, ‘cause seats be fillin’ up reeeeeal fast!


The Velo Project
These guys make a HEAP of our lists, but if you’ve been there, we’re sure you’ll agree that they absolutely dominate the Sunshine Coast brunch scene! Serving from their regular menu, start your day off the right way with brunch at Velo. Order a selection of their buckwheat crepes to share around and tell ‘em we sent ya!
Details: Open from 7am ‘til 3pm.

Monica’s Café and Dining
Striving to serve something for everyone, Monica’s in Maleny are pros at the all-day brekky menu. From fresh seasonal fruit and granola through to a British-style fry-up (and everything in between), bring the whole fam-bam to this hinterland gem for the ultimate start to Mother’s Day on the Sunshine Coast. Just don’t forget Mum.

Bistro C
With prime position on Hastings Street and ocean views to boot, Bistro C is the perfect place for a beachside brunch in Noosa this Mother’s Day! Open from 7.30am, get in early and you might be lucky enough to score an outside table, complete with sea breezes. Mum will feel like she’s on vacay, for a fraction of the price—genius move, really.
Details: Open from 7.30am ‘til late—Bistro C doesn’t take breakfast bookings.

There aren’t many better places to spend a long, lazy Sunday morning spoiling yo’ mama than at Gainsbourg, kings of some of the best breakfasts in Mooloolaba! Nab a table here and you’ll enjoy top-notch views of Mooloolaba Beach over a truly soul-satisfying brunch. What are you still doing here?
Details: Breakfast from 7am ‘til 12pm, lunch from 12pm ‘til 3pm, bar snacks from 3pm ‘til 6pm.


Noosa Boathouse
You’d be hard-pressed to find a more indulgent Mother’s Day lunch than this! Take the fam to Noosa Boathouse for a four-course shared feast for just $59 per person. They’ve even recommended wines to match! But the decadence doesn’t stop there! If mum loves her seafood, go the extra mile with the Boathouse’s famous three-tiered seafood tower PLUS a shared chocolate dessert plate for $69.50 per person. Oh baby.
Details: Sittings from 11am, 11.30am and 12pm for two hours, OR 1.15pm, 1.45pm, 2pm. A reduced a la carte menu is also available.

Flame Hill Vineyard & Restaurant
There’s something about dining at a winery that makes you feel a little bit fancy, and Flame Hill Vineyard is no exception. With a glass of sparkling Kondalilla wine on arrival, and a gorgeous red rose to take home, Mum will be walking on air all day long!
Details: Open from 10.30am ‘til 5.30pm, serving their usual a la carte menu.

Mum is guaranteed to be impressed by any meal at this Peregian fave! Pitchfork are open and serving their stellar a la carte menu for breakfast and dinner, but they’ve got a real treat in store for lunch–a divine three-course set menu PLUS a glass of bubbles on arrival! Hungry Feel
This casual eatery’s motto is “good food served well”, and we can’t argue with them…it would be hard for Mum not to be impressed by the beautiful food that Hungry Feel serves day in, day out. This Buderim stalwart is open for breakfast and lunch this Mother’s Day, but you’d better move quickly to secure your spot!
Details: Open for breakfast from 8am ‘til 11.30am, and lunch from 12pm ‘til 2.30pm.

Sweet Treats

Aimee Provence
There’s nothing quite like a high tea to make anybody feel like royalty, and the spread at Aimee Provence is fit for a queen! So go on, treat mum to a little bit of luxury this Mother’s Day. Enjoy some mother-child bonding over oodles of miniature sandwiches, scones, treats… and tea, of course!
Details: Open from 8am ‘til 2pm.

The Silva Spoon
With so many scrumptious sugary offerings on the menu each day, The Silva Spoon is guaranteed to please even the toughest of crowds! Srsly, who doesn’t love cake? One of the best high teas on the Sunshine Coast, the Silva Spoon’s offering includes a mix of seven different sweet and savoury options, plus a pot of tea or coffee. You might wanna wear your stretchy pants for this one.

Spice Bar
Dinner at the award-winning Spice Bar will be a truly memorable experience for your mum. With spectacular dishes such as the spice-crusted lamb and duck in orange, prepare to be salivating over the memories for weeks to come! If your mother dearest hasn’t been here already, we’re sure it will be on her list—so beat her to it and make a booking now.
Details: Open for lunch from 12pm ‘til 3pm, bar snacks from 3pm ‘til 6pm, dinner from 6pm ‘til ate.

Treat Mum to a modern Italian feast on this special Sunday! Not only will your special lady enjoy a glass of sparkling on arrival, she’ll also be treated to three spectacular courses, which you can suss out right here. Coming in at $89 per person, Locale ticks all the boxes and is one of the best ways to celebrate this Mother’s Day on the Sunshine Coast.
Details: Lunch from 12pm and dinner from 5pm.

One of the best ways to end the festival of the mothership is with a beautiful dinner at Tides in Caloundra. Known around the place for their seafood, we’re also partial to their crispy pork belly—but let’s be real: order anything from their menu for Mum and you’ll be in the good books… at least until next year.
Details: Open from 12pm ‘til 9pm.

Green Zebra
Tucked away in the Kawana canals, the Green Zebra is the perfect place to show your mama just how special she is. With the option to choose two ($55) or three courses ($65), the Green Zebra’s Mother’s Day special is ridiculously hard to beat.
