It’s a rarity something comes to the Sunshine Coast that’s this unique and exceptional, but the team behind one of our faves, Noosa Hot Bread Shop, are set to delight us once more with their latest instalment.

Let us introduce you to Circa Cooroy.

If you wish to be transported to small Parisian café, you need to look no further than this exciting new addition to our coastal shores. Located on leafy Maple Street in Cooroy, Circa is complete with its very own onsite bakery, coffee roastery and French-styled café. The team from Noosa Hot Bread Shop are serving up all the greats we have grown to know and love; think warm, flakey croissants and a crusty-cheesy croque monsieur almost certain to transport you to a cafe on the Left Bank.

Their famous bakery treats will now be made every day inside a specialty wood-fired oven that’s been constructed by local craftsmen. This oven also has the honourable distinction of being the only one of its kind is Australia. (It’s that special peeps!). All of the bakery treats from Noosa Hot Bread Shop will now be made out of this new location. (Did we mention how incredibly spacious it is?)

When owners Craig McCabe and Maeva first heard about the unique space they knew it was meant to be. Circa is housed inside a former garage that they’ve meticulously renovated and refitted. It’s obvious this passionate pair have approached the project with perfection in mind and every detail has been made with the utmost care and thoughtfulness. The husband and wife team have a passion for perfectly executed sourdough bread, excellent food and awesome coffee. Their coffee is Padre too, in case you’re wondering.

Even though the space is large and slightly industrial, they’ve somehow managed to make it feel cosy and inviting. Large, loft-like ceilings perfectly compliment the floor to architrave windows adding light (and dare we say love) into the café. This huge multifunctional space is a French-styled café by day and, by night, transforms into a bustling sit-down restaurant equipped with a wood-fired pizzeria and bar.

The bakery quietly opened earlier this month, however the pizzeria is set to launch in the coming weeks. We like to think of it as a café in the front and a party pizzeria out the back capable of hosting larger events in the evening. (Remember to set your calendars guys, this place is going to be popular.)

We’re confident Circa Cooroy will be a unique dining destination for all foodie lovers. New ventures such as this don’t come around often and we’re sure locals and out-of-towners alike will be flocking to this latest hotspot like bees to a honey pot!
