Now this is the kinda news we’d be happy to wake up to every damn day.
As part of the $400-million re-development currently underway at the Sunshine Coast’s major shopping centre, Sunshine Plaza, it has just been announced we’re getting a high ropes course. But, not just any high ropes course, folks. This is going to be one of the first (and largest) high ropes course at a shopping centre in Australia, ever. Hell yeah!
With 150 challenges spread across seven courses, a 21-metre-high viewing deck and 10 (TEN!!) zip lines stretching up to 130-metres across Cornmeal Creek, doing a bit of weekend shopping is about to get a whole lot more adventurous.
There’ll be the option to do a one, two or three-hour ropes course experience, but judging by our school camp days, we’re pretty sure jelly legs will set in within 30-minutes. But, if unlike us, you’ve got three-hours’ worth of sustenance in you, then go you good thing!
It’s safe to say the Sunshine Coast is on fire, cool your jets we don’t mean literally. With Gold Class Cinemas, a brand-spanking new wharf development in Mooloolaba and some of the best restaurant openings we’ve seen in years, all we can think is how freakin’ lucky we are to call this patch of paradise home. Bring on 2018!
